Frontend Developer

We’re hiring a Front-End Game Developer to help us build high-quality 2D web games. In this role, you’ll create smooth, interactive experiences that combine strong visuals, animation, and sound. What You’ll Do Build browser-based 2D games using PIXI.js, TypeScript, and WebGL Implement smooth, rigged character animations using PIXI-spine and Spine runtime Create responsive UI transitions and effects using GSAP Deliver immersive sound design through PIXI-sound, with control over dynamic effects Optimize game assets with TexturePacker Structure scalable projects with TypeScript, using Webpack for bundling and Gulp for automation Focus on performance, mobile compatibility, and gameplay responsiveness Integrate third-party APIs and manage game states effectively Contribute to the development of slot games with detailed logic and responsive audio-visual feedback Qualifications & Skills Solid experience with PIXI.js or similar frameworks like Phaser or Three.js Proficiency in TypeScript and a modular, maintainable coding approach Hands-on use of PIXI-spine, PIXI-sound, and GSAP (or comparable libraries) Experience working with spritesheets and atlases via tools like TexturePacker Familiarity with modern build tools: Webpack, Gulp, and Git Understanding of WebGL rendering and browser performance optimization Strong foundation in game development principles: game loops, states, input handling Experience in casino-style games is highly valued Nice to Have Interest in profiling and improving performance across devices Contributions to game projects, either professional or personal Comfort working in cross-functional, remote teams Why Join Us Unlimited paid time off – take the rest you need, when you need it Flexible working hours – structure your day around when you work best Fully remote setup – work from anywhere in the world Annual allowance for healthcare, learning, and sports-related expenses A forward-thinking company in a fast-paced, evolving industry Sourced from Tom Horn Gaming.
