About the Role
About 9H
9H is a creative-tech company that builds the systems, brands and digital experiences that power modern businesses. We combine strategy, creativity and technology to turn ideas into real results, helping our clients work faster, smarter and with more confidence as they scale.
Headquartered in Malta (EU), with delivery and commercial teams across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, we work with ambitious, forward-thinking clients, including leading brands across the region. We're growing with intention, focused on simplicity, sustainability and building work that lasts.
We value people who are curious, proactive and take ownership of what they do. In return, we offer an environment where you're trusted to do your best work, supported to grow your skills, and encouraged to build a career that fits your life, not the other way around.
The Role
We're looking for an SEO Specialist to support the delivery of search engine optimisation across a portfolio of the Group's clients, working closely and reporting to the Head of SEO.
This is a hands-on role focused on delivery and keeping work on schedule. You'll help carry out SEO activities, including content strategy, keyword strategy and link building, to grow rankings across all major search networks, while maintaining the content and campaign calendars that keep optimisation work moving across accounts and ensure deliverables land on time.
The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented and a clear communicator, comfortable juggling concurrent client schedules, with a genuine interest in SEO and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Campaign Planning
Owning the scheduling and prioritisation of all SEO-related tasks for the Head of SEO and wider SEO team, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and work is delivered according to business impact, client priorities, and deadlines.
Maintaining content and editorial calendars and supporting publication timelines
Sequencing keyword research, content-refresh cycles and link-building tasks so work is delivered in a logical, prioritised order
Scheduling recurring technical audits and performance reviews, and aligning activity with each client's wider marketing calendar and seasonal search trends
Coordinating the content production schedule with writers, designers and stakeholders — assigning briefs, setting draft and publication dates, and tracking dependencies
Using project management tools to log progress and keep delivery on schedule
SEO Strategy & Optimisation
Supporting the development and execution of SEO strategies aligned with client goals, under the direction of the Head of SEO
Assisting with keyword research, competitor analysis and identifying opportunities to improve organic visibility and rankings
Optimising on-page elements - content, meta tags, headings and internal linking — for targeted keywords
Helping execute off-page activity such as link building, content promotion and outreach, phased to support campaign timelines
Supporting the delivery of SEM campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing to maximise ROI
Technical SEO
Assisting with website audits, site architecture, URL structure, page-load speed and mobile optimisation
Supporting scheduled audit cycles and working with developers or webmasters to implement technical changes within agreed timeframes
Helping ensure websites comply with search engine guidelines
Monitoring SEO performance using analytics tools and tracking key metrics
Preparing reports on a regular cadence — weekly, monthly and quarterly — covering organic traffic, rankings, conversions and ROI
Collaboration & Communication
Working closely with colleagues and the Head of SEO, sharing updates and supporting day-to-day coordination across concurrent client schedules
Supporting client communication, helping prepare scheduled campaign updates, contributing to strategy discussions and helping address client questions
Aligning shared calendars with content, social and web development teams for a cohesive, integrated approach
Learning & Improvement
Keeping up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates and best practices
Researching and evaluating new tools and techniques, and sharing findings with the team
Flagging areas for improvement and supporting adjustments to strategy, schedules and tactics
What We're Looking For
Skills & Attributes
Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to keep multiple client schedules on track
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach
An analytical mindset, comfortable working with performance data
A genuine interest in SEO and digital marketing
Proactive and reliable, takes ownership of tasks
Willingness to learn and develop within the role
Previous experience in an SEO, digital marketing or content support role
Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console
Requirements
Based in Malta (this role may require occasional in-person collaboration with the team)
Fluent in English
