About the Role
The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in managing PT Matic’s present operations and future business expansion. With a focus on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment, the Operations Manager ensures the safe, efficient, and profitable execution of all waste management operations. This role is central to the planning and commissioning of PT Matic’s forthcoming waste treatment facility and the continuous development of services that uphold the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility and client satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and oversee daily waste management operations, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and cost-effective service delivery.
Plan, allocate, and optimise workforce, equipment, and vehicle resources to maximise productivity and operational performance.
Collaborate with Project, Sales, Compliance, and Environmental teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement operational plans, risk assessments, method statements, and standard operating procedures.
Monitor operational performance, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and service quality.
Act as the primary operational contact for clients, ensuring strong stakeholder relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Support business growth by contributing to project proposals, identifying service improvement opportunities, and aligning operations with strategic objectives.
Lead, coach, and develop operational teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Drive compliance with company management systems, environmental standards, and health and safety requirements.
Contribute to the planning, development, commissioning, and operational readiness of the new waste treatment facility, including procedures, equipment readiness, contractor coordination, and emergency response planning.
Identify future resource and infrastructure requirements and make recommendations to support business expansion and operational excellence.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & ATTRIBUTES:
A minimum of five years’ experience in operations management or a related role.
Experience in waste management, environmental services, or industrial operations is preferred.
Proven success in project coordination, workforce planning, and operational oversight.
Strong financial awareness and the ability to interpret operational data.
