We are looking for a mid-level Software Developer to help develop, maintain and support a number of software platforms used by our customers.
You will work across backend services, frontend applications, databases and third-party integrations, while also working directly with customers to understand requirements, investigate issues, support software implementations and rollouts, and provide training and technical support.
You should have strong software-development fundamentals and be comfortable taking ownership of well-defined requirements or problems from investigation through development, testing and release.
Own requirements through delivery - Work with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, determine an appropriate solution and take changes through development, testing and release.
Investigate and resolve issues - Reproduce reported problems, analyse code, logs and data, identify root causes and implement reliable fixes.
Build integrations - Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrations with third-party systems and services.
Work with data - Work with relational databases, including data modelling, migrations, queries and performance troubleshooting.
Support customer implementations - Assist with system configuration, testing, data preparation, rollout and go-live activities.
Provide customer training and support - Explain system functionality clearly, provide training and assist customers with technical or product-related issues.
Maintain software quality - Produce maintainable code, review changes, create appropriate tests and consider security, performance and reliability.

Required experience and skills
Typically 3-5 years of professional software-development experience, or equivalent demonstrable capability.
Good knowledge of C#, modern .NET and ASP.NET Core.
Practical experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Experience designing or consuming REST APIs and third-party integrations.
Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL or another relational database, including SQL queries, relationships and performance considerations.
Understanding of software-development principles including object-oriented programming, dependency injection and maintainable application design.
Experience with Git, pull requests, debugging and automated testing.
Understanding of authentication, authorisation, input validation, error handling, logging and secure handling of application secrets.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate technical issues independently.
Good communication skills and the confidence to work directly with customers, including non-technical users.
Ability to take ownership of work and recognise when guidance or escalation is required.
AI and modern development tools
Experience using modern AI tools or integrating AI services into applications is useful but not essential. Exposure to areas such as AI APIs, document processing, intelligent search, conversational interfaces, structured AI outputs or workflow automation would be considered an advantage.
Experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; background processing and messaging; application monitoring; or previous experience with customer software implementations, training and support.
What success looks like
You can be given a customer requirement, software issue or new piece of functionality and take responsibility for moving it forward. You understand the technical problem, communicate effectively with the people involved, deliver a reliable solution and help ensure that it works successfully for the customer after release.
