The Role:
We are looking for an organised and reliable Storekeeper to join our Stores team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the receiving, storing, and issuing of goods and supplies across the hotel, ensuring accurate stock control and efficient support to all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
Store goods correctly and safely, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO) and appropriate storage conditions
Issue stock to departments in line with requisitions, maintaining accurate records of all movements
Conduct regular stock counts and stocktaking, reporting any discrepancies to the Stores/Purchasing Manager
Maintain stock levels, flagging low stock or reorder requirements in a timely manner
Keep the store areas clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety and hygiene standards
Maintain accurate records on the stock management/inventory system
Liaise with suppliers, department heads, and the Purchasing team regarding deliveries, shortages, or discrepancies
Ensure proper documentation and paperwork for all incoming and outgoing goods
Assist with general warehouse duties, including loading/unloading and organising stock
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Storekeeper, Stores Assistant, or in a similar warehouse/inventory role, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment
Good numerical and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail
Basic computer literacy, including experience with stock/inventory systems
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Physically fit and able to lift/move stock as required
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations
Basic English communication skills
