We are currently looking for a Cleaner to join us on a part-time basis. Our cleaner shall be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the premises, ensuring a safe and well-kept environment. This includes overseeing the sanitation and general maintenance of the departments and clinic facilities to provide a healthy and safe space for students, staff, and visitors.
Duties & responsibilities
Sweeping and mopping floors across classrooms, offices, hallways, bathrooms and common areas.
Dusting and cleaning furniture, windows, shelves and fixtures.
Cleaning and sanitising restrooms and replenishing supplies.
Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of appropriately.
Cleaning windows, walls and other surfaces to maintain a tidy environment.
Following all relevant health and safety and cleaning procedures.
Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly.
Reporting any hazards, maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions.
Monitoring cleaning supplies and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
Managing and segregating waste according to applicable procedures.
Working closely with staff to ensure cleaning activities do not disrupt daily operations.
Supporting with the preparation of spaces for meetings, activities and events.
Maintaining confidentiality and complying with GDPR policies and procedures.
Following Inspire’s Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct and organisational policies.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to a positive and respectful working environment.
Core skills & qualities
The ideal candidate should be in possession of the following:
Proven experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or facilities maintenance.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment.
Prior to being recruited and throughout the duration of employment, the selected candidates need to satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA) together with those of immunization.
