About the role
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Person to join our Facilities team on a Full-time basis!
As a Maintenance Person, you shall be responsible for ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted operation of maintenance services across the organisation. The role involves coordinating contractors, managing and following up on work orders, supporting the day-to-day upkeep of facilities and premises, and ensuring all equipment and tools remain safe and in good working condition. The successful candidate will also monitor preventive maintenance activities and help ensure compliance with the organisation’s systems, procedures, and quality standards.
What you'll be doing
Performing Facilities and Maintenance works and repairs and working at heights and use of electrical tooling.
Carry out basic electrical maintenance such as changing light fixtures, carrying out minor wiring tasks, and resetting circuit breakers, within the limits of the role.
Conducting plumbing maintenance and repairs, including pipe repairs, drainage system maintenance, faucet and shower repairs, and the detection and fixing of leaks.
Carry out general carpentry and woodwork tasks, including door and cabinet repairs, frame repairs, and basic furniture assembly;
Responsible for painting and finishing works, including surface preparation, minor wall repairs, and interior and exterior painting.
Sourcing relevant vendors and service providers.
Recording an up-to-date inventory of all supply and material inventories.
Purchasing any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required including the upkeep of such equipment. They shall also assign costs and expenses to the relevant budget lines.
Handling and purchasing of maintenance items whilst adhering to budget requirements.
Supports the Assistant Head of Facilities with administrative tasks as required from time to time.
Updating and filing maintenance logs for all machinery.
Reviewing work related procedures and making recommendations for improvements.
Assist as required during CSR events and supervise the volunteers during work carried out at our sites.
Reporting the progress of works in general.

Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate should be in possession of the following:
A minimum of one (1) year experience working in general maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, painting).
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
In possession of a valid Maltese driving License B1.
Ability to read and understand maintenance schedules and safety guidelines.
Good communication skills in English language (ability to understand and communicate clearly and effectively).
