Role Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Risk & Monitoring Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to core banking operations, basic KYC & compliance tasks, and regulatory processes within a fast-paced financial environment. Duties and responsibilities: Assist in executing first line of defence controls, including client onboarding, document review, and data quality checks Support document vetting processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance Participate in client communications related to onboarding queries, clarifications, and escalations Coordinate and escalate issues to internal stakeholders as appropriate Provide general administrative and operational support to the BCRM Team Perform additional duties as assigned by the BCRM Team Required knowledge, skills, and experience A good level of communication in Maltese and English Good knowledge of IT tools Strong organization, planning and prioritizing skills to execute the planned controls Excellent eye for detail with heavy focus on accuracy and delivery Excellent reactive capacities and problem-solving capacities Capability to work autonomously and independently, but also have the awareness of when to consult Manager or Senior Manager Sourced from MeDirect Bank.
