About the Role
We are looking to employ a Technical Supervisor to join us within our Operations Department. The aim of this role is to support in the smooth and efficient running of the manufacturing section.
Responsibilities
Able to compile Line Documentation and/or carry out Basic Storekeeping duties which may include specification sheets, first off, line layout, packaging sheet, care points, work instructions, limit board and gauges
Handle Administrative Duties which includes handover between shifts, emailing reports, Excel reports, MES ERP and using other platforms as required.
Knowledge and awareness of H&S procedures and requirements
Prioritization of employee safety
Procedural Knowledge and Adherence including Production Procedures, Quality procedures, Line clearance, start up procedures and other procedures as necessary
Ability to grasp Technical Skills including Hot foil printing setup/cleaning, Pad printing setup/cleaning, Silkscreen Printing setup / cleaning
Ultrasonic welding setup, Problem solving /trouble shooting, other technologies/processes as required and able to carry out basic automation intervention
Able to understand and execute production plans, sorting plans and shipment/dispatch plans
Able to maintain Housekeeping and 5s principles by managing the team accordingly
Organization of stocks, equipment and tools, and documentation
Able to maximize Efficiency, Minimize Rejection and Waste, Minimize LRR, Minimize Downtime, Trouble Shooting & carry out Root Cause Analysis
Capable of managing employees in the shift and managing relationships between shifts, thus fostering a positive environment
Using business acumen to optimize decision making in line with company strategies, applying strategic considerations to decision making.
Requirements
• Preferably in possession of a Diploma level education at MQF level 4
• 5 years’ experience in a similar post within a manufacturing environment
• Computer literacy and basic mathematical knowledge
• Command of Microsoft Office programs, and preferably with previous experience using ERP systems
• Knowledge of Military Standards and AQL
• Able to work on a three-shift basis
